Level 2 NVQ – Removal of Hazardous Waste (600/0258/X) (Construction - Hazardous Waste Removal) (QCF)

Pathway 1

Achievement of the qualification demonstrates competence by the learner to operate appropriately and in accordance with employment requirements as determined by the units selected, within the Construction Sector, dealing with the removal of hazardous waste.

The qualification covers the necessary competencies to remove hazardous waste safely and efficiently. It is assessed ‘on-the-job’ and learning will take place naturally as part of the normal working environment and routine.

The qualification is assessed ‘on-the-job’ at a suitable facility which may include working in areas accessible by the public or other persons.

An assessor will visit your workplace to observe your work ‘on-the-job’. You will compile a ‘portfolio of evidence’ which will demonstrate that you have the knowledge and competence necessary to meet the standard set in the qualification.

The qualification provides progression opportunities by utilising units that are common to other related QCF qualifications. Furthermore, earlier qualification of a similar type can, through for example, recognition of prior learning (RPL), enable progression to the learner to achieve this or other qualifications appropriate to their employment.

These are the 5 Mandatory Units if you chose pathway 1 for Hazardous Waste Removal. Learners must complete all Mandatory Units.
