Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme (SEATS) - 1 Day Programme

Introduction

A new one day classroom based programme will provide candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites. It is designed to meet the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain are required to prove to major contractors. It also covers the environmental aspects of the new HS&E touch screen test.

Programme Objectives

At the end of the programme delegates will have gained knowledge and skills in:

  • What the environment is and why it is important.
  • Outline of environmental management systems.
  • Waste.
  • Pollution prevention and water management.
  • Good neighbour- statutory nuisance, communication.
  • Archaeology and heritage.
  • Energy and resources.
  • Being a responsible.

How you are Assessed

The method of assessment will be by multiple choice questions at the end of the programme. It is also expected that delegates interact during the programme.
